This is a full-time internship based in Amsterdam, starting September 2026 (a February 2027 start may also be possible). It is open to students currently in full-time HBO/WO education in the Netherlands on a System & Network Engineering, Cyber Security, ICT, or related technical programme.
We are KRAFTON – a global collective of game development studios and publishing teams dedicated to creating innovative entertainment experiences. While you may know us through our flagship title, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS , our portfolio covers a diverse range games; from indie to AAA – made by studios all around the world.
Your project
You'll own one substantial project as the backbone of your internship. Our lead project is:
Infrastructure & server-room observability. Our Amsterdam server room has grown fast, and we want to stop reacting to problems and start seeing them coming: power, temperature, and the health of our key systems. You'll research and compare monitoring approaches, then design and build a proof-of-concept dashboard that gives us live visibility and sensible alerting; including new power (PDU) and remote-management (KVM) hardware in the server room. You'll finish with something we put into use. And if data analysis or AI interests you, there's room to apply it to the telemetry you gather, for example spotting anomalies or flagging issues before they cause downtime.
You'll deliver: a current-state analysis and requirements; a comparison and advisory report on the options; a working proof-of-concept dashboard with alerting; and clear handover documentation.
Prefer a different angle? Depending on where your interest lies, we can shape the project with you. Here is one alternative we'd happily support:
Zero-touch device provisioning — design and build an automated, standardised way to set up our Windows workstations (including our high-end developer machines), so new setups are fast and consistent.
Alongside the project
So you learn how IT really works in a live business, you'll also spend time hands-on: picking up user requests via Slack & ServiceNow, triaging and escalating, and shadowing the team as we solve real problems across networking, systems, and applications on both the game-development and publishing sides of the company.
Who you are
Currently studying a technical HBO/WO ICT programme - ideally System & Network Engineering, Cyber Security, or similar (Business IT & Management is welcome).
Comfortable around Windows and Linux, and curious about networking, servers, and cloud.
You like understanding how things work, you're happy to dig into a problem, and you bring your own ideas.
Proactive, eager to learn, and motivated to ship something real.
An interest in data analysis or AI is a welcome plus.
You don't need to tick every box - curiosity and drive matter most.
Our environment — what you'll get your hands on
Active Directory & Windows Server · VMware ESXi · Palo Alto firewalls · Pure Storage · AWS · Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online · Perforce Helix Core · endpoint & network management.
