Job Description

As a Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript. You will take ownership of features throughout their lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with Product Management, QA, UI/UX, and backend teams to design scalable solutions and deliver reliable mobile experiences. You will also contribute to technical decisions, development standards, and the continuous improvement of our mobile architecture and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle of cross-platform mobile applications, from technical design through development, testing, release, and maintenance.
Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance React Native applications.
Make sound technical decisions regarding application architecture, state management, data flow, and component design.
Collaborate with Product Management, QA, UI/UX, and backend teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
Develop clean, testable, maintainable, and efficient code following established engineering best practices.
Identify and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and production problems across the application stack.
Work with native Android and iOS capabilities when required, including understanding and troubleshooting the interaction between JavaScript and native code.
Collaborate on technical planning and estimation, identifying risks and dependencies early in the development process.
Stay current with React Native, mobile platform, and JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem developments and evaluate their relevance to the product and technology stack.

Skills & Experience

BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
2+ years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-on experience in React Native.
Strong knowledge of React Native and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem.
Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, design principles, and common software engineering patterns.
Solid understanding of state management, asynchronous programming, component lifecycle, and performance optimization in React Native.
Experience with Android and iOS development environments, including Android Studio and Xcode.
Good understanding of the interaction between JavaScript and native Android/iOS code, and experience troubleshooting native-level issues when necessary.
Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with HTTP/HTTPS, authentication, authorization, and common API patterns.
