We are looking for a full-time Manufacturing Supervisor at our Mississauaga Distribution Centre. You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and will be responsible for the products that we manufacture in-house, ensuring an on-time, in full, top-quality product, and a manufacturing process that is safe and efficient.
Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for:
Supervise a team of automation technicians and associates, running a 7 days operation, where you will focus on building a culture of safety and high performance through developing and coaching the team members
Be responsible for achieving the weekly production plan on time and in full while optimizing operational efficiency
Drive customer experience through low error rates on product quality, and best-in-class product look & feel
Maintain high standards of Good Manufacturing Procedures and housekeeping in the production facility to ensure a safe work environment.
Be the resident expert on our manufacturing processes and automated equipment, and drive adherence to standard operating procedures
Ensure adherence to the manufacturing budget, as established with the Director of Production, Manufacturing Manager, and manufacturing Sr Manager
Use data to review manufacturing performance, and seek out opportunities for operational improvements
Facilitate root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring operational issues
Act as the primary escalation point for severe equipment malfunctions, guiding the team through complex troubleshooting and coordinating major repairs or component replacements.
Assess the technical competencies of your team and design targeted training programs to upskill Leads, Automation Technicians, and Operators on machine operation, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
Manage the performance of direct reports by setting clear expectations and measurable KPIs, conducting regular 1-on-1s, and providing actionable feedback to support their career development.
Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations.
Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of experience managing production in a manufacturing plant; preferably within the Food & Beverage industry.

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, squatting, and twisting
Willing and able to work in refrigerated environments (0°C to 4°C)
Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification considered an asset; ability to operate equipment as required
Flexible to work overtime, weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
